Cub Scouts! Do Your Best! Do Your Best!

Scouting with Pack 73

Pack 73 Cub Scouts are from Bancroft Elementary and St. Augustine Elementary schools. Our pack offers a range of activities for scouts and their families that focus on the development of personal qualities including: character building, team work, outdoor skills, citizenship, fitness, athletics, science, nature, hands-on practical skills and many others.

The Pack 73 year consists of a combination of individual Den meetings and larger Pack meetings, and includes a ton of fun events!

We are an all-volunteer organization and encourage parent participation at den and pack meetings, as well as in the planning of events. If you’d like to get involved please contact us at!

The Purposes of Cub Scouting

Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has worked with boys in first to fifth grades through the Cub Scouting program. Cub Scouts is a year-round family program that involves parents, leaders, and organizations working together to achieve the key objectives of Cub Scouting: citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Cub Scouts also helps younger boys anticipate and prepare for the exciting world of Boy Scouts.

Cub Scouts is a great way to work closely with your son to build skills that will last a lifetime.

Den and Pack Meetings

Pack meetings are held once a month, usually at Bancroft or South Church, and are for all members of Pack 73.  Den meetings, which are smaller meetings and led by a Den Leader, meet 1-2 times a month, at the Den leader’s discretion. Scouts are expected to wear at least a Cub Scout shirt with appropriate council insignia to meetings.

We understand that your sons may be involved in other extracurricular activities. The scouting program is built to be flexible enough that a scout doesn’t need to attend every den or pack meeting, although we hope they will!  Additionally, if you are comfortable doing so, you are welcome to bring scout siblings to our pack meetings.
